Group & Private Lessons Based on our knowledge and experience, we can evaluate a dog and recommend an appropriate training program. We strive to teach all dogs basic obedience and good canine manners (no jumping on others, no unnecessary barking, etc). Private Lessons Private lessons are offered by appointment and last approximately one hour. Training is done at your home or local park. Lessons give individual attention and a more focused approach towards training. Topics typically covered are Obedience, Behavior Modification, Grooming and Proper Nutrition. Group Lessons Classes are held weekly at various NYC locations. Classes are approximately 2 hours long and include 5 to 10 dogs. This format works especially well for both younger and older dogs who need to experience more positive socialization. Basic and Advanced Obedience is taught while good canine manners are practiced. Basic and Advanced Obedience Basic Obedience Training is an excellent place to start for dogs without exposure to prior training. This is also a good level for an owner who is new to training or has a dog with some obedience. Commands are taught on-leash and include: Heel, Sit, Down, Stay and Come. Behavior Modification Changing a dog's behavior is one of the most challenging and interesting aspects of training. By using a variety of techniques, a dog can change or improve negative behaviors. Training focuses on: Off, Leave it, No Bite and Quiet. However, we can evaluate your dog for any of your concerns. Housetraining, Chewing and Aggression are other example of habits that can benefit from behavior modification. Socialization Socialization is a vital aspect for good dog behavior. Early puppy socialization with other dogs is accomplished in our group training sessions. All socialization is done while the dogs are on leash. Dogs, just as humans are very much social creatures. Learning social skills as a young puppy can be very beneficial. About Us
